The Lynde Francis Trust

The Lynde Francis Trust is working with groups of artists or women who are supporting large numbers of orphaned or otherwise disadvantaged children. In April 2018, we at Sikiliza decided to sponsor one of their projects, which was to support a young disadvantaged artist who painted and drew items that could be sold at the Harare International Festival of The Arts. We decided to support the talented Tatenda Moyo who drew a lovely picture of a Warthog and we had it transcribed onto organic cotton t-shirts and through the Lynde Francis Trust, shipped them to Europe where they shall be sold in order to pay for Tatenda to complete his high school education in Zimbabwe.

Sikiliza aims

Sikiliza aims at bridging the gap between the environment and our community. As our speciality is travel tourism, we have realised the large role we play in making sure that the communities in the countries that we operate in are taken care of and supported in order to enhance their chances of survival in the world.

Lynde Francis Trust aims

What the Lynde Francis Trust aims to do is to create a successful support group that has an income. They work with work with groups already in the community where people can come and be further informed, encouraged. Access to information and training is made available. Training is given in activities that can lead to financial self-sufficiency and the artists involved in the projects are asked to give of their time and experience in this avenue. As well as workshops and training to explore income generating avenues LFT also offers the chance to explore other aspects of life not usually available to these groups such as sports, yoga, alternative therapies, use of their own historical herbal remedies, creative expression and more made available through people who volunteer for the Trust.
