Guide

Bernard

He has spent his entire life in Africa including nearly 25 years as a professional guide in Southern and East Africa.

His passions: Fauna, Ornithology, Flora, Astronomy, …. and of course the Bush.

He will guide you in discovering the Africa you do not know: the song of birds, the traces of animals, the markings of territories, … you will learn a ton of small anecdotes quite astonishing and very interesting.

During the 60-70 nature-discovery trips that I have travelled around the world, I have certainly met many guides of unquestionable quality and competence. Two or three emerge however, both by the diversity of the fields they master and by the depth of their knowledge in each of these areas. Among them, Bernard Calonne dominates by the generosity and energy he puts to share his passion for nature and the art of popularizing with whom he communicates his encyclopaedic knowledge. His dynamism, his stainless enthusiasm, his humour and his constant vigilance to the interests and well-being of the group of travellers he leads to the discovery of "his" Africa, complete the portrait of the guide who impressed me the most ... and the most learned! What else to say, other than living a safari under his direction is an exceptional experience ...
